Board Chairperson

Calvin Mills Jr. is an award-winning serial tech entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist based in Louisiana. As the founder, president, and CEO of CMC Technology Solutions, SLT Technology Inc., and HelpIT Inc., he brings over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. His latest venture, HelpIT Inc., is pursuing a NASDAQ offering strategy. Calvin is the 2019 Lew Shattuck Small Business Advocate of the Year — the first recipient from Louisiana — and in 2023 received the U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, making him the youngest recipient in the state. He is also the founder of CLIMB (Changing Lives Is My Business), a nonprofit empowering underserved youth through technology and mentorship. Through Calvin Cares Weekend, over 10,000 young people have attended the Bayou Classic, and Calvin has donated thousands of dollars in computers to underserved students.

Board Secretary

Ojambo Sumaya is a passionate youth advocate, IT student and digital literacy enthusiast passionate about empowering underserved communities through technology.

Through her work with Tech Reach Africa, she supports initiatives focused on bridging digital education and practical ICT skills to rural learners, women and young people across Uganda. With strong interest in innovation, education and community empowerment, Sumaya believes technology can create opportunities, improve livelihoods and inspire positive change.

She is committed to helping bridge the digital divide by encouraging more young people to embrace technology and build skills for the future. 

Treasurer

Robert Mazzuoli is a Director in Fitch's FI Enhanced Analytics team being responsible for Financials Institutions regulation. Prior to that, Robert was a member of Fitch Ratings’ EMEA insurance group.

Prior to joining Fitch in 2019, Robert was an equity analyst and portfolio manager at Franklin Templeton focusing on European financials. Robert is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds an M.A. in business administration from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

Robert proudly serves on Tech Reach Africa’s Board as the treasurer, bringing all his financial analyst expertise in this very important role.

Programs Lead | Board Member

With a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Makerere University and currently a board of Restless Development Uganda hub. Arinaitwe Francis has 8 years of comprehensive experience in community Development and running and facilitating community mobilization initiatives at both national and international arena.

Through his involvement in several projects across Africa, Francis has gained a great set of skills especially in Project management, Qualitative research and Evidence based Advocacy.

Leveraging his diverse set of skills, Francis leads program design & implementation.

Curriculum Director | Board Member

With a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and two masters’ degrees in ICT Management and Intellectual property respectively, Shirley Gladys Nakyejwe is a Senior ICT Officer at Uganda’s Ministry of ICT and National Guidance.

She also has over 6 years of experience in research and curriculum development having previously worked Makerere University where she supported the review and design of various graduate curricula for several programs including MSc and PGD in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information Systems.

At Tech Reach Africa, Shirley serves as the Learning & Curriculum Development lead bring a set of many skills and experience into this very important role.

Board Member

Thomas Rosenfeld is a partnerships and philanthropy professional with nearly a decade of experience mobilizing corporate, foundation, and institutional resources for global development and humanitarian organizations. He currently serves on the Strategy and Operations team for Save the Children's global Partnerships and Philanthropy division.

Prior to Save the Children, Thomas managed U.S. government-funded programs as a USAID contractor, raising and overseeing a combined $121 million in initiatives including the Women in the Digital Economy Partnership and the Young African Leaders Initiative.

Thomas holds a Master of Science in Business from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College.

Leah Njoki is an accomplished accounting professional with experience in financial management, compliance and organizational oversight. With over 10 years of experience in accounting and financial administration she has contributed in strengthening financial systems, improving efficiency and transparency. Njoki has the ability to provide sound financial guidance that sustains organizational growth.

Beyond her professional career, Njoki is actively involved in community development by being a member of Rotaract club of Jinja, where she supports community empowerment, service and leadership leading to community transformation.

Njoki is passionate about ethical leadership and community impact. She is committed to supporting organizations that promote social development and long-term sustainability. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Kampala University and a certificate in Public Accounting, and continues to contribute in community well being.

Bruna Patricia Acam is the Founder and CEO of Femjustice for Women’s Legal and Economic Empowerment, a membership youth led non-profit dedicated to empowering women and adolescent girls to assert their rights and access justice through integrated legal and economic empowerment.

Bruna is an accomplished attorney and member of the Ugandan Bar specializing in navigating complex organizational regulatory frameworks and legal compliance. With a rich background in legal aid and statutory translation, she bridges the gap between rigid legal structures and agile operational needs. Bruna leverages her legal expertise to help organizations mitigate risk, maintain robust compliance, and scale safely within evolving regulatory environments. She also serves as the Board Secretary for the Women Human Rights Defenders Network Uganda.

Bruna holds an LLB from Makerere University and an LLM from the University of York, United Kingdom.

Managing Director

Ntende Beka Isabirye is a Youth leader and a YALI East graduate from Uganda with 9 years record experience in community Development. Since 2014, he has volunteered with a number of local and international organizations including Restless Development, Irise International, Dance4life among others on programs aimed at generation of active Citizenship, promotion of Youth economic empowerment and advocating for access to quality education for youth in his local community.

He is founder & the team leader at Tech Reach Africa with strong interest to make a difference for the young people in Uganda through his work on Youth and women empowerment projects with focus on Digital literacy.

Technical Lead

Nand Patel is a creative youth leader with a strong passion and academic background in Information Technology. In his role as the Technical Lead at Tech Reach Africa, he oversees technical projects, support the development and management of digital platforms, coordinate technology-related activities, and contribute to the delivery of digital literacy and technology education programs. He also collaborates with instructors, program coordinators, and the wider team to ensure technology is effectively integrated into our programs and operations.

At Tech Reach Africa, his vision is to help build a digitally empowered generation across Africa by making technology education more accessible, affordable and practical.

International Volunteer Program

Silas Lindsten Kelsen is a Danish volunteer with a strong interest in travel, cultural exchange, and creating positive change through education and technology. In April 2022, he had the life-changing opportunity to visit Uganda with his boarding school, an experience that left a lasting impression on him.

Driven by a genuine desire to support others and make a positive impact, Silas became actively involved in Tech Reach Africa, formerly known as ICT4Education even after his return to Denmark. He supports Tech Reach Africa’s vision through coordination of international volunteer activities and resource mobilization efforts.
